Jane Stothert

Jane is inspired by the city and travel. From her sketches she simplifies her images into hard edge geometric forms moving between being representative and abstract. More recently she has been combining her hard-edge shapes with images created by the reduction technique. Jane’s etchings depict her favourite places in Anglesey where she has spent most of her summer holidays. She likes the contrast between the drawing element of etching and the hard-edge shapes in screen printing.
